Spaces in file names...

2010-07-07

If your site is hosted on one of our Unix servers, and it has files that use spaces in the file names, you should give some serious thought to abandoning the practice.  Using spaces in file names is a Unix no-no.  Last week, we tightened security to disallow file names with spaces by default.  If your site has pages or page elements that suddenly cannot be found, whereas before last week they could be found, you might be using spaces in file names.  A good solution is to use underscores ("_") instead of spaces to separate words in file names.
